Christmas in America How We Celebrate Christmas

What is Christmas?
Christmas is a holiday that
is celebrated on December
25th every year. It’s a time
where we wait for Santa,
presents, family time, and
mainly celebrate Jesus’
birth. On Christmas we
We celebrate Christmas by giving each other gifts. We call Santa Claus… decorate our house with
Santa Claus. What do you call him? We have red socks we call stockings, lights and inflatables, we

do we get those trees I was talking about? We either buy a tree from a
local store or you can go to a Christmas tree farm and get a real one. A
stocking is kind of like a sock but it’s bigger and it has a hook that you
can hang above your fireplace.

On a usual Christmas, I go to my Granny’s house Christmas Eve and
open gifts from her at her home. Then on Christmas morning I open my
gifts from Santa and then get ready to go to see more family. And on
Christmas night I drive a long way and spend more time with family then
finally I go back home. This year because of Covid 19 I can’t go some
