THE RESISTANCE
By Yiğit Kerem Benlioğlu
The enemy army marched
Right through the mother land
But the Turkish prevailed
With the help of father Ataturk
The resistance began
Never giving up again
Determination in their hearts
Fighting is all they knew
1921, when the attack began
Through the West and South
The war had been won.
DAY OF HAPPINESS
By Kaan Darga
It is a great day to celebrate,
We got the rights to vote and get elected.
23rd of April is the day when,
Our history was written.
It is a great day to celebrate,
Ataturk gave this day to children,
Who will save our country in the future.
Come on, join us,
Celebrate this day with happiness! 34
